Safaricom announced that customers who purchase the All in One Monthly Bundle will be offered free additional 5GB of data to enable the stream videos on YouTube. Basically, one will be able to stream videos on YouTube without the usage being deducted from their monthly bundle but rather the free 5GB data. The offer is available for customers starting today up to 5th July 2019.
The All in One Monthly Bundle were launched on February 2019 as the telco moved to tailor its propositions to the smartphone era. Also, customers were increasingly looking for a single package that bundles all their communication needs (data, voice, SMS) at one, predictable price point. The bundles enable customers to call and text across all networks at discounted prices. The package available is as from Ksh. 1,000 to Ksh. 10,000 all with a 30-day validity.
Sylvia Mulinge, Chief Customer Officer, Safaricom, had this to say, “Kenyans are increasingly turning to video consumption on the internet, with music, comedy, news, and sports emerging as the most popular online video content in the country. To meet this need, we are providing our customers with an additional free 5 GB of YouTube streaming that they can consume at any time of the day within a month. We also continue to expand our network across the country to ensure that Kenyans have access to strong, reliable and superfast 4G+ coverage wherever they may be.”
