List of All COMESA Member Countries
The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) was formed in 1994 to replace the Preferential Trade Area which had existed since 1981.
COMESA was created with the objective of forming a free trade area where goods can move freely within the member countries.
The idea was to form a large common market devoid of inter-state barriers as members develop their countries for the benefit of all.
The following are the member countries of the COMESA regional trading block;
1. The Republic of Burundi

2. Union of the Comoros

- Its capital is Moroni and Azali Assoumani is the president.
- The Comoros currency is the Comorian franc (KMF).
- The country has a population of close to a million people.
3. The Democratic Republic of the Congo

- The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is a country in Central Africa with approximately 108 million people.
- It is the second-largest country in Africa after Algeria.
- Its capital is Kinshasa and President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi is the head of state.
- The DRC currency is the Congolese franc (CDF).
